Liz Kottke

Certified Sommelier, Liz Kottke fell in love with wine while living in a diverse international community in Shanghai, China. When she moved back to Rockford, IL she began her professional wine career in a local wine boutique. After working her way to become a wine buyer, her desire to formally learn more about the complexities of wine grew and in 2013, Liz earned her Certified Sommelier status by correctly identifying the vintage, grape varietal and country of both a red and white wine in a blind tasting. She also had to pass a practical knowledge exam and a champagne service exam as presented by the Court of Master Sommeliers. In 2015, Liz earned her Certified Wine Specialist designation from the Society of Wine Educators

Liz currently lives in Rockford, IL where she helps educate wine enthusiasts of all levels and experiences. She provides a range of consulting services to promote the education and appreciation of wine!
