It took two planes, hour and half by train, 45 min car ride and then a 25 minute hike up the mountain in 3ft of snow to get to the amazing chalet in Schwarzsee, Switzerland but once there the first bottle we opened was the Dole Des Monts.
The wine was light bodied with flavors of red cherry, raspberry and a hint of leather on the finish. It was a pretty simple wine and drank well. Paired it with some local gruyere cheese and sausage! Delicious!
