Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc
Food Pairing: Cilantro Scallops (Recipe)
The powerful aroma on the nose is all smack-you-in-the-face fruit. Subtle citrus with loads of tropical fruits (lychee and pineapple) and on the palate the fruits turn to more of the peach and apricot. The oak aging that the “reserve” sees lends the palate to more of a caramel flavoring and I was left dreaming of a peach cobbler with caramel drizzled on top. The finish was long (45+ seconds) and the body was well balanced!
