Food Pairing: Swiss Fondue
While on my recent trip to Schwarzsee, Switzerland I enjoyed many of the local wines made there. The wines from the Vully region were everywhere and for good reason. It is a perfect pairing for cheese fondue with the acid of the wine breaking down the creaminess of the cheese.
The wine was pale straw in color and it had lots of lemon flavors on the nose with a hint of wet stone on the finish. Not complex by any means but a very enjoyable wine.
